The Pickle Diner is a location that appears in Only Murders in the Building. It was frequented by Bunny Folger before her death, and she was friendly with Ivan, one of the waiters there. Oliver and Will are also known to eat there. The diner opened in 1963, according to the logo on the windows.
In-universe, the diner is located on the corner of West 86th Street and West End Avenue. In reality, the building used as the Pickle Diner is called Mansion Restaurant and is situated on the Upper East Side at 1634 York Ave.[1] The name of the Pickle Diner may be inspired by Maison Pickle, a restaurant located near the fictional location of the Pickle Diner on the corner of West 84th Street and Broadway.
Appearances
The diner first appears in the episode The Last Day of Bunny Folger, when Bunny eats lunch at the diner and sees Oliver and Will there. She gives Ivan a very generous tip to help him to buy some DJ equipment. Ivan mentions that she was there the previous day with somebody else, which she confirms and says that they were not a friend.
