Full Summary[]
Oliver records for the podcast, telling them there's a witness. He tries to get Mrs. Gambolini to tell them who did it, but she just tells him to fuck off. Oliver is irritated that Bunny's bird is as obnoxious as she was. Charles says that's his maybe-half-sister. He explains that his father slept with Bunny's mom and Bunny could be the results. Then she remembers that he kissed Bunny on the lips. They were going to kiss on the cheeks at a Christmas party, but they missed and their lips touched. And they just stayed that way. Oliver asks Mabel to handle that. Mabel tells Charles he has two choices. She can slap him and tell him to snap out of it or they can skip to him saying it was tough to hear, but he needed it. He chooses no slapping. Oliver tries to get Mrs. Gambolini to say who did it again. Mabel suggests talking to her like Bunny. Oliver impersonates Bunny, but Charles says he didn't do it right and does it his own way. Mabel interrupts them, saying they need to make progress. They go over what they know. Mabel finds receipts from the day Bunny died. Charles notes that they saw her that day. Oliver starts recording again, talking about a person's last day in preparation for them recreating Bunny's.
Mrs. Gambolini wakes Bunny up by yelling at her to get up. Bunny gets out of bed and puts on her glasses. She can't believe it's her last day as board president.
Bunny looks at a pamphlet for Boca Raton, Florida as she listens to a news report about New York changing.
Bunny reads the Daily Dispatch, which shows Jan's arrest on the cover. As she works out, she rehearses her speech about her time as board president ending, a position she inherited from her mother. Her mother warned her that part of her job would be dealing with pests, but didn't mention that the tenants were the pests. She is determined not to let them see her cry. She hears music coming from outside and supposes quiet time is over.
Bunny dresses up and goes outside, where the coffee vendor asks her if she watched the game last night. He has her coffee waiting for her. She says that's why she's in a bad mood. He says they should catch a game sometime now that she has more free time. She tells him that would be great. Bunny finishes her food and tosses the wrapper into a trash can from a distance.
Bunny returns to the Arconia, where Lester and Ursula are eating outside. She's upset about some trash on the ground, which she picks up. She threatens to replace Lester. Ursula hands her an elevator inspection invoice to sign and tells her the place will fall apart without her. She asks what Bunny will do with her free time. Bunny says she's been looking for a spot in Boca Raton. She sees a crowd and walks toward it.
Oliver tells the story of them confronting Jan. Sam asks Charles how it was confronting his girlfriend. Charles says he commandeered a vehicle and drove it into Jan. Mabel corrects that it was a dog stroller. They finish telling the story together. Oliver invites Bunny to join them, but she cites a rule not allowing a gathering of more than 12 people without board approval. Marv says he once thought Bunny was the killer because Tim was behind on his building fees. Bunny asks if he has a permit to sell the podcast merchandise. She cites another rule not allowing them to sell things without a permit. Nina jumps in and adds the consequences for violating the rules, including flogging. The rules were written in 1912. She suggests they should update that, but Bunny likes the floggings. She has Nina come with her, saying those people will be her problem tomorrow. Nina's prepared for it.
Bunny tries to tell Nina everything that's her responsibility now, but Nina is prepared for all of it. She wants Bunny to focus on enjoying herself. Nina tries acupressure to try to induce labor. Bunny warns Nina about Mark, saying he's a compulsive liar. And Sonia will sometimes mention a boyfriend and sometimes a husband. She wants you to ask, but you shouldn't. Nina notes that she knows everything about everyone, which Bunny says is the job. Nina takes the flowers out of Bunny's cart to get them in place. Bunny leaves, saying she has her own things to do and will see Nina at the meeting.
Uma is shocked that Bunny would consider moving to Florida. Bunny thinks she could be a snowbird. Uma shares a story of her cousin in Florida, which Bunny thinks is an attempt to get her to stay. Uma tells her to go and they part ways. Bunny's phone rings. She tells the person on the other side of the line that she doesn't want to talk about the painting. She warns them to stop calling.
Bunny enters The Pickle Diner. Ivan has her appetizer ready and puts it in front of her as he asks about her day. She says she's the same and she'll have her usual. He asks if her friend from yesterday will be joining her. Another server took his shift yesterday and said she had someone with her. She says they're not coming and they're not her friend. Bunny looks at her pamphlet as she sees Oliver and Will Putnam standing nearby, talking about Will directing a play at his kid's school. Oliver is excited and says Will will be a natural because it's in his blood. Oliver spots Bunny, who remembers Will as the kid who broke a window when he was ten. Will asks if she's moving to Florida. Oliver says he and Bunny are lifers and she'll probably be buried in the Arconia.
Ivan leaves the check for Bunny. She gives him the money for the food and a fat envelope for him. She went a little over 20%. Ivan sees a large stack of bills and says it's too much. She says no one else needs it. He should use it to get the DJ equipment he wanted. She makes him promise not to love only one thing, because losing that one thing leaves you with nothing, which sucks. He asks if she wants more iced tea.
Bunny boards the elevator and Charles and Mabel enter after her, discussing their celebration plans. Mabel looks at the food in Bunny's cart and says it looks good. It's snacks for the board meeting. The elevator jolts to a stop. Charles starts to panic, but Bunny just opens a panel and quickly fixes it. As Bunny exits the elevator, she says she's realized she hates the heat.
Bunny enters her apartment and is surprised to see a party waiting for her. Howard hands her a hat that says, "You're done."
Howard tries to get Mrs. Gambolini to tell him hi. He tells Grover that Bunny seemed upset that they moved the cage so Mrs. Gambolini could be at the party. Grover deduces that Howard is lonely. Bunny says that Amy Schumer started renovating the penthouse without the necessary permits. She wants their thoughts. Liam Grimsby says he loves her. Howard says anything's better than what Sting had in there. Nina doesn't want them to do business on Bunny's last day. Bunny says they also need to sort out Tim's apartment and Jan's as well. Grover says he's already drunk. Howard is ready to take the minutes. Nina says she'll handle it all at the next meeting. Bunny's upset that people keep mentioning that it's her last day. She says she's changed her mind about stepping down. She starts to move to the agenda. Nina says they had a plan. She has Howard read back exactly what Bunny said, over Bunny's objection. She agreed to step down and wanting Nina to replace her. Bunny says she still believes that, but thinks they rushed into this. She still has more to teach Nina. The Arconia still needs her. Nina says they can't wait for her to die. The Arconia needs to be updated. Bunny says the building needs to be preserved. She thought Nina understood that, but now realizes Nina never believed any of it. She tells Nina off. Nina says Bunny was only board president because her mother was. She's a relic and the building can't become one along with her. Bunny says she has no idea what the job takes, the pressure she endures. She says she won't let Nina get away with this, but Nina won't let Bunny stop her.
Mabel hangs the meeting minutes from that last meeting on the evidence board. They go over the list of suspects. They decide to find out more about Nina, their main suspect.
Bunny cleans up the party trash. She talks to Mrs. Gambolini, asking if she also thinks Bunny's a relic. Bunny hears the trio celebrating through the vent.
Mabel opens the door and asks Bunny if they're being too loud. She says no. Charles and Oliver join them at the door and Charles turns off the music. Bunny says they should have proper champagne if they're celebrating. She offers them a bottle. She thanks them for saving the Arconia. Oliver says they have a gift for her, too, offering her one of the podcast hoodies from a pile beside the door. She says it's the last thing she wants, but the encourage her to try it on. She laughs as she puts it on. They thank her again for the champagne and close the door in her face. Charles wonders if Bunny wanted to join them. Oliver doesn't think so and they don't want that either. Mabel looks through the peephole and says she's still out there. Charles says it's awkward. They hear Bunny start to cry. Mabel opens the door to invite her in, but Bunny is gone. Mabel suggests moving the party in case she comes back. They agree to go to the roof.
Charles tells the listeners that they didn't kill Bunny, but maybe they could have saved her through a simple act of kindness.
As the trio leaves on the elevator, someone wearing boots gets off the other one.
Charles toasts to Mabel on the roof.
In her apartment, Bunny turns on the television, watching a detective show.
Mabel has a feeling there's some loose ends.
There's a knock at Bunny's door. She says it's too late and she doesn't want to hang out. The person knocks again.
They're out of champagne, so Mabel goes to get more from her apartment.
Bunny opens her door and asks whoever's there what they want. The person grabs her and attacks her.
Mabel returns to her apartment, where she finds Bunny.
