Roberta Putnam is a recurring character in Season 1, Season 2 and Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building. She is the ex-wife of Oliver Putnam and the mother of Will Putnam.
She is portrayed by Adriane Lenox, in Season 1 and 5, and Marie-Francoise Theodore in Season 2.
History[]
Relationship with Oliver[]
Roberta met Oliver on his first off-Broadway production. He asked her out for dinner, and she declined. He asked her out for a coffee, and she reluctantly accepted.[1] The two later married and had a son, Will. At an unknown point in their relationship, Roberta began an affair with Oliver's friend Teddy Dimas. Oliver never discovered the affair while they were together, and only became aware of it when Will took a DNA test that came back Greek.[2] Oliver and Roberta divorced after Oliver put Will's college fund into his failed production of Splash! The Musical and lost all the money. When Roberta left, Oliver was depressed.[3]

- Roberta only eats cheese when she is relaxed, according to Oliver.[4]
- Though married at the time, her son, Will Putnam is the result of an affair with her husband, Oliver's friend, Teddy Dimas.
- She has only appeared in flashbacks so far.
