Paulette is a recurring character in Season 1 and Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. She is a superfan of the Only Murders in the Building podcast, along with Sam, Grant, and Marv.
She is played by Ali Stroker.
History[]
Only Murders in the Building Fandom[]
Sam started a fansite for the Only Murders podcast called The Itty-Bitty Omit-Bitty Committee, where he met Paulette, Marv and Grant. They met up outside the Arconia to watch for the trio. When he spotted Oliver and Mabel returning to the Arconia, he tried to talk to them, asking if they had a new episode. Oliver was delighted that they had fans, but became aggressive after he was asked about the new episode. Mabel bundled him into the building, which Sam found hilarious and called a "classic Oliver-Mabel exchange."
Later, Oliver passed them again and they called out to him. He was surprised they were still there, except for Grant. He lied and said that everything was coming together with the podcast and asked them all to come with him.
In Charles's apartment, Oliver introduced the fans to everyone, though they knew who everyone in the room was because of their avid listening. The fans helped as they ran through the evidence to try to figure out who did it. They eventually recreated the night, with Marv playing Theo, Paulette as Lester, and Sam as Tim. After this recreation, the trio started recording right away, with the fans as their live audience. When they finished, the fans clapped. Despite having been present at the recording, the fans all listened to the podcast together when it was released.[1]
Trio's Arrest[]
Paulette, along with Marv, Grant, and Sam watched as Oliver, Mabel, and Charles were arrested after they were found hovering over Bunny Folger's dead body.[2]
Overhearing the Trio[]
Paulette, Sam, Marv, and Grant were at the diner, sitting near the trio when they overheard Mabel talking about the secret passageways in the Arconia. When the trio left, the fans talked about the case and how the podcast season was going and Mabel dating Alice.[3]
Mid-Season Drag[]
Grant, Paulette, Sam, and Marv came to the diner, where they snooped while the trio had a conversation at a table nearby. They are concerned that the podcast was dragging and the cops might solve the crime before they did. Marv tried to get his Sixth Avenue slasher theory back in, but they said they'd already given him an entire episode for that. Sam said he was considering a move to another podcast, which Paulette was already listening to. Marv was upset about them jumping ship and declared loyalty to Only Murders in the Building.[4]
