Camila White is a recurring character in Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building.
She is portrayed by Renée Zellweger.
History[]
Camila was born in Reno, to a casino magnate and his former showgirl wife. She described herself as having been a young girl with a deep love of beauty. She had since moved to Connecticut.[1]
She is an entrepreneurial designer and hotel magnate. She owns about half the hotels in New York, which has made her a billionaire. She is part of a secret underground club in The Velvet Room.[2]
When the trio from Only Murders in the Building put out a teaser that implied Jay was involved in a murder, Jay, Camila, and Bash showed up at Oliver's place, saying they wanted to give them the opportunity to leave the billionaires out of their podcast to avoid being sued for libel. Mabel said it wasn't libel to say they were sniffing around a murder scene, but accidentally admitted to spending some time with the body. Oliver offered to give Camila a tour while Bash cooked with Charles and Mabel stayed in the living room with Jay. On the tour, Camila said that Oliver's dining room was an eyesore and needed improvements. Oliver asked if he and Loretta should start over in a new place. After looking over his place, Camilla told Oliver that Nicky cut off Jay's finger with a cleaver during a confrontation in The Velvet Room. Once back together, they realized that all three billionaires had told the same story and the billionaires excused themselves. However, they had actually coordinated stories and then purchased a controlling interested in Wondify, which gave the trio a contract that prevented them from talking about their stakeholders, tying their hands.[3]
