Amy Schumer is a minor character who appears in Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building. In the show she is a friend of Oliver Putnam, who becomes a crucial part of their investigation.

Meeting Oliver[]
Amy leased the apartment at the Arconia previously occupied by Sting. Shortly afterward, she met Oliver Putnam and his dog, Winnie, in the elevator. She revealed that she knew who he was and was a fan of the podcast, though she was never previously into true crime podcasts. She then asked if he'd consider selling her the rights so she could turn it into a streaming series. He admitted to having a pitch deck in his apartment. She invited him to come by her apartment and they would figure it out.[1]
Oliver came back another day to meet with Amy. He shared his vision of the show, which differed wildly from hers. She wanted to tell the story from Jan's point of view and wanted to play Jan. She said she'd even been learning to play bassoon for that purpose. Before she could share more, Oliver noticed the painting on Amy's wall, which was Bunny's missing Rose Cooper. He went downstairs to tell Mabel and Charles and came back up with Mabel, Charles, and Leonora, who had overheard Oliver and wanted her painting back. While Leonora looked at the painting, Amy began flirting with Charles. When Leonora declared the painting a fake, they all left. Oliver tried to take the painting, but Amy told him not to because she wanted the painting of Charles to stay. When he told her it wasn't Charles, she told him to take it. She then asked him how she did. She was in character as Jan.[2]
